It went very well. I submitted a new story "Oranges" and an older one "An Illegitimate Family".
Professor Yates had some very nice things to say. I'm flattered. |

Why is 90 percent of the creative writing department composed of Twilight fangirls and people who are incapable of writing a story that isn't totally ridiculous and outplayed? Everyone needs to realize that they will not make it as a professional writer by mooching off of other peoples stupid trend-niches. It just won't happen. You missed the vampire/wizard/fantasy boat, get your own thing going. Also, you obviously shouldn't be considering writing as a career if you think it is acceptable to submit a fan fiction to your college level fiction workshop. |

I feel like I've gone back three or four years in time. The only problem is I was much better at comprehending or dealing with this strange behavior of other people back then. Now, I don't know what to think about it or whether I should be thinking about it at all.
It was funny because at first it felt like a new step in a new direction that was much more mature and reasonable, but now it just feels like more of the same old regression.
The only explanation I see in all this is that a mistake has been made. |

Christmas is looking really good this year. A new comforter, some perfume, and a few great movies. I love it. |

Today was weird. I went to a review session for English, which was mostly a waste of time. Afterwards, I met Edgy for lunch at Del Taco. After this, he went home to work on his take home finals before work and I came home to finish reading Wide Sargasso Sea. While I read my sister cleaned my room for me. I paid her 30 bucks to clean the disaster for me. She needs Christmas money, I need to be able to see my floor. Works out. After finishing all that up, I turned on Garden State and half-heartedly watched that while reading some short stories/looking through the internet. I decided I really want a blue/green/turquoise coat rack and a cool rug for my room/future apartment. It's exciting. |

I am in a beautiful mood.
I finished all of my stressful work yesterday and had an alright time at work. Then I saw Repo! with Edgy and Dusty. I'll probably have to see it again to make an accurate judgment, but I can say that it was very visually pleasing and I liked one song so much I had to buy it on itunes as soon as I got home.
This morning, I woke up at eleven, took my time getting ready and listened to a lot of great folk music. I also made plans with Ian to buy one of those tiny, tiny houses and live in various environments once I graduate. Start in the mountains, move our way down to the Ocean. Haha.
Alright, off to make the most of the day! |

Way to go, me. Wait until the day before all your finals to get a cold. That's a great idea. |

I have so much work to do.
I have a French exam on Monday that I desperately need to study for, two papers due on Thursday, and somewhere around 500 pages to read (not going to happen). This work would be difficult enough to complete during a free weekend, but alas, my weekend is not free. Tomorrow I work lunch and Patrick is coming down for his birthday and Sunday I work dinner. I would just give my shifts up, but I only work three days a week right now anyway. And I'm going to need as much money as I can get( I have to make car/laptop payments to the parents).
I guess I'll just have to prioritize and make some sacrifices. I'll probably just read the sparknotes for Robinson Crusoe, since I have already read it once anyway. I'll just refresh my memory. I'll put the papers off until the week starts (even though it's risky) so I can dedicate more time to French studies. I would really like to finish The Italian, but 400 pages in such a busy weekend seems nearly impossible.
Oh well, once this week is over I might be able to relax a little. |

My lappy died. I had to buy a new lappy. It is not as pretty as my old lappy.
